Missouri Challenge Points Shoots

The Missouri Points Challenge Tour rewards Missouri shooters who participate actively by traveling to a number of shoots at clubs throughout the state. Each club designates one of its events as a "points shoot" and all who attend are awarded points as shown in the scale below. The top 10 shooters, based on number of points, receive a silver belt buckle at the following year's banquet shoot. The event is open to Missouri residents only.

Maynard & Addie Link led the field for 2005, attending 6 of the 7 shoots. WInners included two Ladies, a Veteran and a Sub-Junior shooter. Participation was down significantly this year. KRIS LEIBY 1130

This year's race was spirited to the end, with first place and the 10th (final) position decided by the .410 event at the very last shoot. Five shooters competed in all 7 events, the most ever, and 2 more made 6 of the 7. The top position was claimed by Jim Hutchings, a new shooter from the VanZant club on his way up. For the final spot, Tim Pitman edged Maynard Link by just 12.5 points, or one class win.
